While brainstorming a CG for Christmas, I got this weird visual of Miroku wrapped up like a present, and from there on it went downhill and became this. I don’t even think I should call it a Christmas CG considering the fact that it’s horrifically late. I’ve never really done a proper indoor background before, and...I still haven’t, come to think of it. The only reference I had was a tiny photo of some random fireplace, and even then I didn’t get it exactly right. This also contains my first CG Kilala (who’s an ordinary housecat in this case and therefore has only one tail) and my first ever Kohaku. I had a lot of fun coming up with the sleepwear: I actually have a pair of sweats similar to the one Sango wears (sans the drawstring), and Kohaku’s footwear is modeled after a pair of slippers I got last Christmas. If you can’t recognize the character on them, it’s Invader Zim’s Gir, a being more adorable than Pikachu and Hamtaro combined.

The original sketch actually had a card hanging around Miroku’s neck instead of a gift ribbon; it was supposed to read: “To Sango: For being a very good girl. Love, Santa”. Something like that. But then I experimented by replacing it with a gift ribbon, and there it stayed.
