Sometimes I wish that Miroku’d catch Sango off-guard by doing something like this instead of his usual grope-a-thon. Then again, whenever he tries a less licentious approach with her (as in Episode 85, when he takes her hand and presses the side of his face against it while declaring his loyalty to her), Sango’s reaction isn’t that much encouraging either. Yup, they’ve both got Issues with a capital I—which is of course understandable given their pasts and backgrounds—but that’s of course what makes ’em so damn appealing: the girl who doesn’t like to be touched and the boy who likes to touch. They’re the epitome of two people who have no business falling in love, much less with each other, but somehow end up doing so.
