Did this in a little over an hour and a half. I dont know if this qualifies as a sketch, but it is rather rough, and I didnt even bother to get rid of any of the erasure marks. I used only four tools in Photoshop to do this: Brush, Smudge, Dodge, and Burn. The method was inspired by a classmate of mine in my Digital Imaging classhed scanned in a pencil sketch of his, used Photoshop to give it a tan tint, and then added some dimensionality to it by using only the aforementioned tools. I thought that was rather cool, and tried it out on an old sketch of mine. The sketch itself is pretty ordinary. I gave the ofuda in Mirokus mouth a glowy effect to simulate that holy aura thing he gives off when hes fighting. Incidentally, even though its not all that obvious in the anime, Miroku seems to have a kind of oral fixationin stills and other artworks hes got either his ofuda or prayer beads tucked between his teeth. I thought it quirky and cute. Sublimate much, Houshi-hon? |
